As part of our ongoing efforts to innovate and provide our clients with best in service products, we are proud to announce the launch of a new series of podcasts! Dubbed “GARCasts,” the podcasts are hosted by GAR Partner F. Cindy Baire.
“The Real Property Assessment system in New York state is complex,” Baire said. “Our podcasts are designed to provide insight and understanding into the assessment process, helping property owners better understand their assessments and how they are determined.”
Early podcast episodes include New York’s real property tax cycle; the job of the assessor; understanding the difference between taxes and assessments, and how to challenge an assessment. Upcoming episodes will feature guests, including town assessors who will provide additional insights into the overall property assessment process.
